Verify the distance from the threshold to the front of the StepAbove hinge plate it should be 15/16". There should also be 1/8" clearance between the inside lip on the door jamb and the outside edge of the step on each side.
Check to make sure when the steps are out the extension feet aren't out too far keeping the hinged plate across the threshold up. That could cause the door not to shut.

Hey John, check the black and blue wire connections. It sounds like you may have ran the 12 volt accessory circuit to the brake output circuit which is locking up the brakes as soon as the connector is plugged in. Most likely it will be that you just need to swap the 1:00 and 5:00 pins of the wiring and you'll be good. view full answer...
Leaf spring shackle bolts don't get torqued down as that prevents them from being able to move as the suspension flexes. You will end up using lock nuts that just get tightened down till they sit flush and the nylon in the nut keeps it from backing off. If you need a 2 inch lift but are on springs that are totally flat new springs will get you to the height you are wanting.
